I have a lot of people reaching out to me saying they'd love to sew, but don't know where to start. You can make really cool things that don't require a lot of time or skill level. I have shared several beginner patterns that are quick and easy, but today I want to share a DIY. If you've been following me for very long you probably heard me talk about one of my favorite style icons, Olivia Palermo. I saw this super cute sweater last year that I desperately wanted to recreate.

As a new mom, I'm learning I don't quite have the same amount of time right now as I did before little Knox, so this project was absolutely perfect for me. All you need is a sweater that you probably already own and of course some fur trim. I went to JOANN and found the most fabulous leopard fur trim LINKED HERE.

This was EXACTLY what I was looking for. I mean come on. Leopard print and fur combined. Ya'll know I'm all about that life.
I used a sweater I already owned from Amazon. LINKED HERE. You guys, this is so EASY to make. I just cut and pinned the trim along the front of the sweater the way I wanted it and sewed it right on! I have a pretty strong feeling Olivia's sweater retails for a lot more than my DIY but I think mine looks pretty good if I do say so myself!
If you recreate this please tag me. I would love to see!
