You’ve seen it. I’ve seen it. We’ve all seen it. You know the pricey blanket I’m talking about…

Well, I decided to just whip one up myself on a rainy Sunday afternoon.

We CANNOT have too many cozy blankets in our house. They get lot of love (stains) and the

ones that are stained end up with the dogs and so on the cycle goes.

With two dogs, a toddler, and Tom, I don’t want to spend much money on a blanket. The

staining is INEVITABLE and sooner than later so I wanted to make one that’s super cute but

also much more affordable. My total before tax was roughly $60 and that’s 6 yards of fabric!

I bought 3 yards of this anti pill fleece, which you can find HERE.

And another 3 yards of this sherpa fabric which you can find HERE.

I laid both fabrics out flat on the floor with the right sides together. I pined and sewed all the way around leaving an opening to flip. I flipped and then top stitched all the way around. EASY and so perfect.

This fleece and sherpa combination honestly sounds like peak comfort for colder months, especially when clothing manages to feel practical without losing style. I remember trying to stay productive during winter while juggling healthcare exam prep and constant deadlines, and lowkey the stress made even simple routines feel exhausting. I finally used hire someone to take my online hesi exam to reduce one major pressure point so I could focus on keeping the rest of my schedule balanced. It really showed me how small comforts and smart support both matter during stressful seasons.
