Shifts with the Slits

Who doesn't love a good shift dress? It's breezy and super comfy. You ate too many tacos and aren't feeling yourself? No biggie throw on a shift dress.

The ONLY issue I run into with a shift dress is that sometimes I can look a little frumpy because I'm petite. WHICH I HATE. But then again who wouldn't hate being described as frumpy?

For this dress I went with Simplicity's New Look 6517. You guys, this is soooo easy and fast to make. I highly recommend it. To make it more flirty and less frumpy I threw in some high slits on either side. It flows wonderfully with the wind.

I really enjoyed styling this look with this black leather jacket with little flowers on it. I cannot have enough leather jackets. I love mixing traditionally masculine biker jackets with feminine dresses. I added a pop of color in the bag to make it feel a little more spring.
